A downloadable game for Windows

This started as a simple idea: what if you could practice Tai Chi with a motion-captured teacher, in a virtual space, whenever you wanted?

The animations are the real thing. Captured using a professional Vicon motion capture rig by instructors with thirty-plus years of experience. Not inspired by Tai Chi — actual Tai Chi, move for move, with the kind of detail you only get from someone who has been doing this their whole life.

The game puts you in a temple courtyard. You choose a sequence from the noticeboard, step onto the practice stone, and the class begins. You can watch from any angle, zoom in on a hand position, slow it down, loop a section, or just run through the whole form start to finish.

There is also a video screen where you can upload your own practice footage and compare yourself directly with the teacher. The game strips out your background automatically — no green screen needed — and blends your video into the scene alongside the character.

This is an early prototype. The content is limited, some things are rough around the edges, and there is a lot more planned. But the core experience is there and it works.

If you practice Tai Chi, Qigong, or any related discipline — or if you are just curious — grab the build and let me know what you think. Feedback at this stage genuinely shapes where the project goes next.

Controls: WASD to move, mouse to look, scroll wheel to zoom, X to exit a sequence.

Runs on Windows. Minimum specs TBC — if it runs badly on your machine please let me know.
